NICA Wins ABAF Award!

At the Australian Business Arts Foundation Awards on Thursday 26th October, NICA won the City of Melbourne Encouragement Award for its arts-business partnership with software company Netagi. The annual awards honour the best private sector arts relationships and the leaders who have created inspirational examples of engagement between the private sector and the arts.

The partnership between NICA and Netagi began in late 2004 and resulted in Netagi developing a software program called Aplinx which enables people with little web experience to design, create and manage their own websites. In 2005 NICA launched its new website. The relationship has continued to flourish and in mid 2006 NICA and Netagi launched the CircaNICA website.

Accepting the Award last night on behalf of NICA was NICA Chairman Mr Joe Gersh AO. NICA CEO, Pamela Creed, who is currently in China where NICA is competing in an international festival (below), is delighted at the news.

"Winning this award is wonderful for NICA. Not only does it recognise the relationship with Netagi, but also lets the wider corporate community know that NICA knows how to engage in and manage dynamic and creative partnerships with the business sector."
