April Dawson

April Dawson began her career as a contortionist at the age of 15 when she was discovered by Lunar Circus who took her on their first world tour. April studied her craft at Top Jazz Ballet School specializing in Jazz, Tap and Acrobatics.

As a performer she has worked extensively in the Circus and Theatrical Dance world. Touring internationally in the Circus since she was a teenager, she has gained performance experience as a Contortionist and Acrobat over the past ten years.

The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA)

She has also been trained in a variety of dance styles and has recently performed in the USA (Disney, Universal Studios LA). She has recently been accredited with her Australian Dance Teachers Association Theatrical Teachers Diploma and has also been heavily involved in the writing of the ADTA Acrobatic Syllabus. She is now based in Melbourne and pursues a career in Circus performing and teaching.
