Performers

Daniel Crisp

Born into the sunny surf culture of Australia, Daniel Crisp's performance training stems from an upbringing of Martial Arts (WTF Taekwondo). As a teenager with aspirations, but legs too short to reach Olympic glory, he transferred from competitive sport to performance, where his love of the arts emanated.

Crispy graduated on scholarship from the National Institute of Circus Arts (2010) with the specialist discipline of Aerial Straps and minored in generalist skills of Chinese Pole, Teeterboard, Hoop Diving and Banquine/Pyramids.

Since entering the professional world, Crispin has created and directed work under his own company, featured on Australia's Got Talent, Performed at Madonnas house party by request and had the pleasure of working with performance entities such as:

The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA)

Dreamworks, Global Creatures, Pacha Ibiza Dubai, The Act, Company 2, Circa, Strut n Fret, Franco Dragone and is currently the principal character and specialty soloist (Aerial Straps) in the Cirque du Soleil Show, Toruk, based on James Cameron's film series, Avatar.

While performing internationally Crispin has continued studying by achieving a Master of Sports Coaching degree and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning. He is currently studying visual art and endeavours to continually be creating new work on and off the stage through the mediums of photography, painting, design, music and film.

Crispin has a love of teaching and sharing the joy of performance with others through the medium of the arts. This is demonstrated in his work as a schoolteacher, circus outreach work in marginalized communities and coaching at circus schools around the world.
